SPATIALinfo Inc. Announces Key Appointment

(Denver, Colorado, March 13, 2000) – SPATIALinfo, a leading developer of geospatial information technology solutions, today announced a key appointment to its North America, Denver, Colorado, office.

Mr Wes Clain, formerly of Hitachi Software, will take up the role of Vice-President, Business Development. Wes Clain joins SPATIALinfo Inc. as a key member of the Executive Team, and will lead the company's marketing and business development thrust,” said Mr Peter Mitchell, SPATIALinfo's Chief Executive Officer.

“SPATIALinfo's innovative spatial engineering design and enterprise solutions are targeted to the emerging challenges in the Telco, Energy, Network Design and Construction, and Land Information markets. Wes Clain will drive our penetration into those key markets, where end-users, systems integrators and network design and construction contractors are looking for more flexible, open, and cost-effective enterprise geospatial solutions that work,” said Mr Mitchell.

“SPATIALinfo's solutions are highly functional tools, and are uniquely targeted at enabling and supporting business process re-engineering. The outsourcing of functions such as design, construction or maintenance of networks, and spatially related functions, is transparently enabled by SPATIALinfo solutions which can be deployed either within the Telco or Utility, or outside to contractors, in configurations that are in connected or mobile environments. As Telco's and Utilities re-engineer business processes, they need systems which seamlessly handle the information and recording cycle of complicated network and GIS data, both within and outside the organization,” said Mr Mitchell.

“Wes Clain's strong solutions and relationship management skills are essential in providing ultimate business benefits for customers in new and commercially imaginative ways,” said Mr. Mitchell.
