SpatialOFFLINE™ is designed for field technicians who do not have a network connection with database access. Prime candidates for spatialOFFLINE are those who spend most of their time outside constructing and maintaining their networks and performing installations. 

SpatialOFFLINE allows users with a laptop or tablet PC to

• View the data online when connected to the network.
• View the data offline when disconnected from the network.
• Record redlines in the field and upload them to the database when reconnected to the network.
• Synchronize data with the database when connected to the network. 
• Trace networks. 
• Perform network fault analysis. 
• Display network details associated with each address. 
• Trace for modems and MAC addresses. 
• View and edit fiber, coaxial cable, inside plant and outside plant networks.

OFFLINE DATA ACCESS, SYNCHRONIZATION AND MANAGEMENT

SpatialOFFLINE provides smooth data transfers from the database to a new offline laptop or tablet. After the initial data transfer, spatialOFFLINE makes it easy to transport the data anywhere in the field — even outside of network range. When away from the network, technicians still have access to the data and can edit it and mark it up while in the field. When a network connection becomes available, spatialOFFLINE synchronizes offline data with the main database. Synchronization updates the offline data with any changes made to the main database since the last synchronization and uploads any redline markups from the offline data set to the main database. SpatialOFFLINE makes offline data management, markup and synchronization effortless.

The administrative functions for the spatialOFFLINE server also include:

• Region management — Subdivide large data sets into smaller offline data sets.  When an offline laptop connects to the server, it synchronizes modifications made to one or more data sets. 
• Data extraction — Extract detailed vector maps and associated data from the main database to offline devices.

EASY INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE

Each laptop or other offline device requires its own copy of spatialOFFLINE. Install spatialOFFLINE manually or automatically push the software from the web server to the laptop with automatic updates for maintenance-free installations.

SpatialOFFLINE automatically detects the presence and speed of a network connection and may be configured to

• Automatically synchronize data or synchronize data on-demand when in network range.
• Run in the background so that it does not disturb other processes. 
• Upload only redlines to the main database and not download changes to the map files or associated data. 
• Use any combination of Ethernet, Wi-Fi, VPN, 3G, EDGE or air-card network.

When a laptop connects successfully to the server, spatialOFFLINE copies the appropriate data to the laptop and provides usage statistics back to the Sync Server. SpatialOFFLINE will always try to use the fastest and most reliable network connections available to synchronize data with the Sync Server.
