SPATIALnet Fiber Management Software selected by Cinergy MetroNet for Fiber to the Home (FTTH) initiative
(Englewood, Colorado - September 23, 2004) — SPATIALinfo, a specialist supplier of network and spatial information solutions, and its new client, Cinergy MetroNet, today announced an agreement between the two organizations. Cinergy MetroNet selected SPATIALinfo's fiber design and management software after conducting a rigorous series of reviews comparing the offerings of other software systems to the solution provided by SPATIALinfo. The agreement between the companies includes the utilization of SPATIALnet/FM to design and manage CMN's eleven city Fiber to the Home initiative and replacing the software used previously to design their supporting regional interconnect fiber networks.
"We were impressed with the capabilities demonstrated in the product as well as the deep technical knowledge of FTTH, long haul fiber and telecommunications shown by SPATIALinfo personnel," said Brian Hardesty, Director of Engineering for Cinergy MetroNet. "The SPATIALnet/FM software has the potential to enable us to achieve dramatic efficiencies, enhance operations as well as replace our current applications without any interruption in our day-to-day processes."
SPATIALnet/FM fiber management software is designed to provide out of the box functionality, easy migration, seamless mapping, effective reporting and efficient design, production and management.
Mr. Hardesty went on to say, "We found the SPATIALinfo team to be easy to work with, and prompt on their delivery and installation."
"We are proud to have such an impressive company as a client," said Greg Foster, President of SPATIALinfo. "They are a marquee name and an industry leader. We believe this will have a positive impact for both Cinergy MetroNet and their customers."
