SPATIALinfo Inc. To Exhibit at GITA US 2000
(Denver, Colorado, March 9, 2000) – SPATIALinfo, a leading developer of geospatial information technology solutions, announced today that it would exhibit its ground-breaking enterprise spatial information solutions at the GITA Annual Conference and Exhibition, Colorado Convention Center, Denver, Colorado, from March 26 – 29, 2000, at Booth 1242.

“Demand is accelerating for spatially-enabled engineering design tools, integration of spatial information with corporate applications, and enterprise access to spatial information,” said Mr Peter Mitchell, SPATIALinfo's Chief Executive Officer.

“We can solve today's challenges, and tomorrow's, by delivering integrated, open, enterprise geospatial solutions that work. SPATIALinfo's solutions for Telco, Utility, Network Design and Construction, and Land Information markets provide for Autodesk® or Microstation®-based network design stored in a RDBMS such as ORACLE® or Microsoft SQL Server®, right through to web data access,” said Mr Mitchell.

SPATIALinfo's solutions are highly functional tools, uniquely targeted at enabling and supporting business process re-engineering. The outsourcing of functions such as design, construction or maintenance of networks, and spatially related functions, is transparently enabled by SPATIALinfo solutions, which can be deployed either within the Telco or Utility, or outside to contractors, in configurations that are in connected or mobile environments.

“As Telco's and Utilities re-engineer business processes, they need systems which seamlessly handle the information and recording cycle of complicated network and GIS data, both within and outside the organization,” said Mr Mitchell.

“We've just had a very successful exhibition at DistribuTECH 2000 in Miami, Florida. Our solutions attracted strong interest from Utilities, Network Design and Construction Contractors, and Systems Integrators alike,” added Mr Mitchell.

At the GITA Annual Conference and Exhibition, SPATIALinfo will be highlighting:
- An all-relational enterprise spatial system architecture
- Rules-based network design and maintenance using SPATIALnet™ integrated with AutoCAD Map 2000®, with spatial information stored in ORACLE® and Microsoft SQL Server® using SDM™, supporting topology in the database.
- Spatial data access via the intranet using SPATIALweb™ and Autodesk Mapguide®
- Integrated spatial information reporting using Cold Fusion® and Crystal Reports®
- Import and export of spatial data from ORACLE® and SDM™ using SDM Data Mover™ incorporating FME®
- Our expert geospatial IT capabilities, including consulting, solution design and implementation, data modeling, systems integration, project management, training and support.”
Mr Alan Walter, a SPATIALinfo Principal Consultant, will present a paper at the GITA Annual Conference and Exhibition, titled ‘Capturing Network Asset Data by Design'.

SPATIALinfo is a software company with global partners and a long history of providing georelational products and technologies, consulting, applications development, data migration, and systems integration services into AM/FM, GIS, and Enterprise Information Systems markets world-wide.

SPATIALinfo's core enterprise solution products, available for resale, include:
SPATIALnet™
A complete AM/FM/GIS system which captures, edits and displays Utility Outside Plant Networks, modeled in a spatially-enabled RDBMS using SDM™, to provide enterprise-wide spatial data access. SPATIALnet™ uses AutoCAD Map 2000® as its graphics editing engine, and interfaces with Autodesk World® for GIS-style query and analysis, along with Autodesk MapGuide® through SPATIALweb™ for low-cost web access. SPATIALnet™ may also be used with Bentley's Microstation® as the graphics editing engine.
SDM™
The Spatial Data Manager - a product family incorporating the world's most fully-featured enterprise spatial data engine for ORACLE® and Microsoft SQL Server®, supporting topology in the database.
SPATIALweb™
SPATIALweb™ enables organisations using SPATIALinfo's SDM™ software with either ORACLE® or Microsoft SQL Server® to distribute up-to-date georelational information to internet/intranet users. SPATIALweb™ currently supports Autodesk MapGuide® for GIS-style query and analysis, and Autodesk WHIP! for other specific applications.
SDM Data Mover™
A powerful solution incorporating FME® from Safe Software Inc. to move spatial data to and from SDM™.
