SPATIALinfo Inc. To Demonstrate FME® Integration at GITA FME® User Meeting
(Denver, Colorado, March 14, 2000) – SPATIALinfo, a leading developer of geospatial information technology solutions, today announced that it will be one of only six companies to demonstrate at the GITA Annual Conference and Exhibition FME® User Meeting, Colorado Convention Center, Denver, Colorado, on March 28, how it has used FME® to provide solutions to data translation and migration issues.
“FME® is the leading spatial data translation software from Safe Software Inc. FME® has become a vital component of our spatial data import and export strategy,” said Mr Peter Mitchell, SPATIALinfo's Chief Executive Officer.

“During the GITA Annual Conference and Exhibition from March 26-29, we will demonstrate how we use FME® to migrate data to and from our SDM™-based (Spatial Data Manager) enterprise spatial solution. We will be one of only six companies demonstrating a FME® solution at the FME® User Meeting ‘Solutions Table' on March 28, from 6-9pm,” said Mr Mitchell.

“Safe Software expects over 100 FME® current and prospective users to be in attendance, anxious to see how FME® can be used to provide data translation and migration solutions. This is an important opportunity for SPATIALinfo to highlight the flexibility of its offerings, and we are already well down the path of implementing Safe Software's new FME®-style solution for the web, with SpatialDirect™ integration currently entering testing phase,” added Mr Mitchell.

SPATIALinfo's SDM™ is a comprehensive spatial relational middleware product, enabling easy access to and manipulation of spatial data within the same commercial RDBMS as that used for storing other corporate data, such as ORACLE® or Microsoft SQL Server®. SPATIALinfo uses FME® as a core component of its SDM Data Mover™ solution to move spatial data to and from SDM™.

SPATIALinfo is a software company with global partners and a long history of providing georelational products and technologies, consulting, applications development, data migration, and systems integration services into AM/FM, GIS, and Enterprise Information Systems markets world-wide.
