SPATIALinfo announces technical breakthrough, creates new version of SPATIALnet™
(Denver, Colorado - March 18, 2002) - SPATIALinfo, a specialist supplier of network and spatial information solutions, today announced a major breakthrough, a new version of its flagship SPATIALnet product- now able to directly read and write ArcSDE databases from within AutoCAD® and Autodesk Map.

“AutoCAD and ESRI® users have always sought a methodology to share data between the two environments,” said Lenny Melamedas, Executive Vice President, SPATIALinfo, speaking at GITA 2002, Tampa, Florida. “SPATIALnet now has a capability to directly communicate with ArcSDE databases rather than using the traditional translation approach. This allows organizations to use their preferred tools for engineering and GIS without having to sacrifice losses in time and data quality between the two environments. This unique capability unlocks an organization’s information and allows it to be shared throughout the enterprise. Our approach is to allow customers to use the tools they are accustomed to, stay efficient in their work, while enhancing the workflow within an organization. Our ArcSDE and Autodesk products integration is just another example of how we continue to innovate and deliver what the users need.”

SPATIALinfo also announced new releases of its core SPATIALnet and SPATIALweb™ products, on display at the GITA 2002 Exhibition, Booth 415. “The last twelve months has contributed greatly to the consolidation of our engineering design client, web access solutions and our rapid data loading and configuration utilities,” said Mark Zangari, CTO, SPATIALinfo. “We’ve added even more capability to our network management products, and through our open technology platforms we’ve continued to deliver seamless integration of RDBMS stored data and our SPATIALnet solution. GITA 2002 presents an important opportunity to showcase our advances,” said Mr. Zangari.
